Handcuffs when used properly are a safe and effective tool/restraining device, their use keeps not only the officer and subject safe from harm but anyone in close proximity as well.

In our tactical handcuffing course, you will learn the proper orientation and application of handcuffs for tactical handcuffing, how handcuffs work, the importance of double locking, how to sit, stand and transport a subject, how to perform a legal cursory search as well as some basic theory (Use of Force and Section 494 of the Criminal Code of Canada, dealing with citizen’s arrest).

In our speed handcuffing course, you will learn how to talk a subject into one of three handcuffing positions (standing, kneeling or prone) and apply handcuffs within 2 seconds. This strategy is most useful when you need to transport a suspect away from a situation quickly. You will also learn how to apply the double-push handcuffing method, how to deal with suspects who resist being handcuffed, plus much more.

You will receive a certificate for your training that you can put on your resume.

Spaces are limited for this course to only 12 participants. Please contact us immediately if you are interested.
